I had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful family during the vibrant fall. Connor and Kyle are twins and little Will is the youngest. This was a very special shoot for me. Little Connor has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. These days are very precious to the family as Connor will not be on his feet in the future. Here is what his mom Jessica wrote this Thanksgiving.

"Thanksgiving and the approaching holidays bring joy and anticipation to our household. At this time of year we reflect on what makes us thankful. We are overwhelmed by gratitude for the caring and compassion of our friends, family and so many caring souls who have reached into their hearts and given us so much. Duchenne can be a difficult journey with many days of profound sadness and heartbreak while we watch our sweet little boy's everyday struggles. Yet, we are fortunate to have so many strong shoulders to lean on and we are filled with gratefulness for Conner's amazing perseverance and infectious smile. Thank you ALL from the bottom of our hearts for your strong shoulders. We are on the threshold of finding a cure. Because of people like you we can hold on to hope and dream that one day a cure will be in Conner's grasp!

Thank you again for being part of something so very important to thousands of children who dream of walking and running just like their sisters, brothers and friends.

We are so very thankful!

Watching how this family are dealing with this tragedy is both heart wrenching and heartwarming at the same time. Here are a few of my favs from this session.
